Bits n’ Bobs

Max the hen and Whitefoot the kitten share a moment.

We have an Albino Pigeon, named ‘Buzz’ that was born on our property and even though he has left the nest, he does return from time to time. This rather fat fledgling made a recent appearance and we suspect it is the offspring of ‘Buzz’. We have yet to name it. Feel free to offer some (clean!) suggestions.

The growing season is upon us and here, one of my early potatoes, and a red onion  make a welcome appearance.

Proving Spring is well on the way, my neighbours’ plum tree gloriously decked out in white.

Not all warm and cozy! Ice from one of the water buckets. A few nights ago the barometer fell through the proverbial floor and the overnight temperature  dropped to minus 2.

Aeonium ‘Zwartkop’ black rose succulent blooming by the pond.

The Garden Orb Weaver which took up residence among a patch of Lavender several months ago is still with us and after a couple of moults looking even more gorgeous.

And another of the African Green Pigeon.

  1. That picture of the kitten and the hen … it looks like Max is saying to Whitefoot, “C’mon! Let’s play!”

  2. A pigeon, that came back?

My goodness … what will they think of next! You did well, putting that beacon out … you can’t fool me …
