  1. Hello Ark. I like it. From the background and video quality it seems quite old. Is he still performing? I think I will go google him. Thanks for sharing. I do think humor may be the way to reach creationist, if they can even laugh. I doubt CS would enjoy this guys take on his holy book. Hugs

  2. Oh MY! ๐Ÿคฏ Thank you Ark! Thank you Dave Allen! I no longer feel like an idiot about how all of “this” began! So THAT is what they’re called: two lumps! I never could figure those out. Yeah, I could totally be a two lumps Gardener! Hell, even a 5-stars four lumps Gardener too! Diversify!!! ๐Ÿ˜ˆ

          1. Hahaha… are there ANY (common) senses at all Nan? Even neurons firing—or fizzling a little(?)—upstairs in the hollowness that echoes? )))) echoes ))) echoes))) (dead silence) ๐Ÿคญ

          2. Actually nan, I find humor in the rarest of places. But there is no joy in Mudville when people strike out against the Creators pleasure.

Manโ€™s problem? We think waaaay too much about Self/ and Therein lies the reason why certain things are not funny.

            Victor Borge was funny.

        1. Hello CS. Can you not laugh at your self at all? Can you see no humor in your religion at all? I am gay and I enjoy a good joke about gay people. There was nothing malicious in the delivery or content. If your religion is so fragile it cannot withstand good natured ribbing is it worth defending? CS if you wind something too tight, it will break. Hugs

          1. It’s an all-time classic, perhaps one of the best Monty Python movies made. Ark loves it more than ANYONE on this 6,000 year old flat Earth! Maybe more than all those millions of humans that have fallen/sailed off the outer edges! But we’ll never know will we? They’re still falling/sailing I guess. ๐Ÿคช

          2. Hello Professor. You say Ark loves it like it is a complement, yet he is also obsessed with this thing he calls football? And from what I have distastefully googled after repeated blog posts of his on the subject of said football stuff, the team he obsessives on seem not to live up to his fantasy level admiration. It does call into question his current mental state? The real question for us who care about him is should we contact mental health authorities to help him?

            ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‹๐Ÿ˜‹

OK I admit I liked taking the piss on Ark here, but in truth I know nothing about football and the teams you all support. But hey maybe I had a point after all? All be well. Hugs

          3. At the risk of being banned from Ark’s blog forever … I’ve NEVER watched a Monty Python movie and can pretty much say with certainty that I won’t be watching one in the future.

          4. Oh, I dunno about that. If he can put up with my snide comments about his “bugs,” surely he’ll let me off the hook for my distaste related to MP.

          5. Eh, I don’t know Nan. ๐Ÿ˜ถ Ark can quote every single line and sing every single MP song—probably can dance all their dances too!—and even walks like they do as well! I’ve seen him do it many times! Case and point…

So if you diss Monty Python in the slightest… I think you might be putting your very life in jeopardy!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

          1. Iโ€™m ecologically savvy- saving space by shortening sentences.

I suppose itโ€™s obvious what I mean- that foolishness regarding serious topics when cloaked as humor is pretty dull.

          2. There are many things about you that come across as obvious.
Your immaculate dress sense, your savoir faire, your sparkling intellect, your suave 007 debonair way with the ladies.
Gosh, you are epitome of everything men envy and wimmin swoon over.

          1. Hey Jude….

Iโ€™ll just understand that you must be clueless with such an absurd opinion.

My assessment of high profile atheists using God as a dartboard for alleged comedy is completely true.

There is NO humor, NONE, ZERO, ZIPPO, NULA, NADA, in any language, culture, which laughs at Gods word.

Now then, laughing at people, well, thatโ€™s a horse of a different color.

And btw, I am known in many circles for having a rare and instant ability to find humor and disarm peoples rigid ways.

After all, Jackโ€™s are usually better than tens.

  3. Ark,

How much longer do you think the Creationist Chrissian Space Cadets will be waiting for “The Return” and rapture? 2,000 more years? 4,000? Oooo! I know the magic number: 6,000! 10,000! ๐Ÿคฃ Meanwhile, their Yahweh/God/Allah keeps getting off with his sadistic jollies every single year watching everyone, his own included, suffer, whine, and torture everyone else while dumbing-down their own offspring. Talk about self-inflicted insanity!!! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

  4. And I love the Dave Allen video.
And Iโ€™ve occasionally seen one of CS’s comments, although I try not to look, and I suspect he is pulling everyone’s leg and is not religious at all and delights in just being an antagonist and a pain…and seeing how crazy he can sound to just get our collective “goat.”

    1. Hello Mary. I agree with you. Have you heard of the term “Poe”?

A person who writes a parody of a Fundamentalist that is mistaken for the real thing. Due to Poe’s Law, it is almost impossible to tell if a person is a Poe unless they admit to it.
“The Bible is true because it’s the inerrant word of God! I know because the Bible says so! Glory!”

Is this guy serious? He’s got to be a Poe.

I do try occasionally to interact with CS, I have on several times have did so to some length, yet he never would give a reason for a bible quote, he wont use reason instead he gets verbal diarrhea that makes no sense. He really seems to get off on the confusion he thinks he is spreading rather than making a case for his god or holy book. That is why I can not take him seriously. He is not on a mission from his god to spread his gods word and save souls, he is driven to confound and frustrate atheist. In truth he simply is a troll loving each and every interaction he can get from others that he thinks triggers them. He is in truth a sad being and I really wish the best for him and hope he gets a huge wake up call. Hugs

      1. You know what Scottie, sometimes I rather warm to the guy. Guess it’s because I feel he is such a lonely dude and only pop’s along so he can interact with other humans as his family and neighbours shun him and treat him as a weirdo!
I think we should all take it in turns to take him under our collective wings and take him down the pub or club for a couple of brews. A night out with the Prof and I think we will see a much changed. cs! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿ˜‚

    2. I, too, try not to look at those comments. I can never understand how so much stupidity can be carried by one person. But he is Ark’s friend and I like peace so I ignore

  5. Most of the Bible stories are preposterous once you start looking at them critically (and many are disgusting).

The inherent pomposity of religion makes humor and ridicule among the best weapons to use against it — which is why religionists get so outraged when they see such humor.

  6. And Nan, I would agree with you about much of Monty Python, it’s a bit too over the top for me, but “Life of Brian” is just superb. I watched it on You Tube three times running, and it’s just funny. And Eric Idle has to be my favorite of all of them, next to Terry Jones..

    1. BOOOOOO!!! HISS…HISS…HISS!!! (then I jump for joy, applaud, and yell BRAVO about the Lady’s plaudits on Life of Brian!!!) This is for you Judy! How can you NOT just roll on the floor about this level of sheer taunting and brilliant insults and heckling!???? You can’t! Even if they were doing it to YOU you’d have to laugh!!! ๐Ÿคฃ

      1. ah. got a bit of perspective here. It’s not Monty Python I dislike, it’s John Cleese and his arrogance. Try as he might, he’s still quite full of himself (as my grandmother would say about pompous twits), and that takes the humor out of a lot of it. The others are just funny.

  7. I would like to put in a good word for CS here.

CS has a colourful way of writing such nonsense, he has a remarkable imagination and quite often his comments are often not understandable but very amusing.

Lets face it, as atheists we rarely have contact with individuals that have such extremely โ€œoff the wallโ€ ideas that make some of the other theists we blog quite boring with the same old Christian stuff.

  8. I also remember Dave Allen on our black and white TV in the 60’s and I have always regarded his shows as some of the best on the planet, may I see him in hell when the time comes for me.

  9. Billions and billions of years ago, something happened, sort of like a big explosion, maybe, and all the stars and planets happened. But, on one of these tiny little celestial bodies, behold, there was a teeny, tiny little cell, that was alive,
And it grew to two cells, then four, and on and on, and through the billions of years became fish, and birds and elephants and people, and, every time one happened, there wasnโ€™t just one, there were two, male and female, and each one figured out how to reproduce with each other before they died.
And they filled the tiny planet.
And, then one day, one male said, โ€œI am a female, you have to believe what I tell you, or you will make my feelings hurt.โ€
So, the humans began to make laws to make sure this human didnโ€™t get left out of this amazing accidental world that had formed all randomly without any help from anybody.

  10. Oh, let him be, Ark. Him’s having fun up there. I always was a fan of the talking snake, anyway.
the entire garden of eden was a mettyfor for evolution anyway, but evolution hadn’t been invented yet, so they didn’t know that.
