Watch the birdy: On the menu, Suet.

We found this tasty treat on our last visit to Neville, our pet food supplier.

I hung it alongside the Whisk Feeder and there is stayed unmolested for a couple of days. Maybe the birds were wary or simply had no appetite? Maybe fresh fruit was the tastier option?

But as always when dealing with birds patience is the number one virtue and eventually curiosity overcame any latent misgivings.

It was a case of spotting the flash of bright yellow, saying “Sssh!” to the person standing next to me and reaching for the camera.

  1. By the way, if you can message your spider friends and tell them to not run away each time I try to photograph them! It would be greatly appreciated! Thanks! 😉🕷
