Feeding the baby. White Bellied Sun-bird and Fledgling

Although the fledgling is mobile, he still needs to be doted on

In the final shot, even dad takes a turn!

    1. Talk about luck.
I stepped out the back door, cup of coffee in hand about 10:30 and heard the chick making a racket in a nearby tree -though I didn’t know it was a baby sun-bird. As I approached it hopped onto the wall then flew onto the garage roof and then down among the roses, hotly pursued by Mum!
And they were both hotly pursued by me!

The chick stayed among the roses for nearly 20 minutes. Enough time for me to grab my camera from the office, and a small wooden stool. I parked off not 20 feet from where the chick was.
      Amazing to watch.

      1. Super, Ark! What a wonderful thing to witness! Hey, I could bounce that luck thing right back at you, for you knew exactly what to do, and how to use that camera, my friend! 🙂 Very nice!
