  1. Outstanding. Love your spider photos. I adopted a Chilean Rose Haired Tarantula. It is now our class pet. The kids really have taken to her and is important to getting them to understand the importance of spiders.

    1. This is a South African Rain Spider. Completely harmless to humans, but they induce jelly wobbling terror in arachnophobes..
      They often enter homes when it rains – hence the name. Sadly I have seen only two the entire year. But I have noticed a higher number of Pompilid Wasps. I hope this is not coincidental?

  2. This pole dancer spent meticulous time with the detail on the legs. And there are a lot of legs! Ark you said this was a rain spider, could it be one of the babies from that gravid one you showed us? Hugs
