Feldbrunnen to Langendorf 11.01 (3)

This was the road as we were leaving our place yesterday morning. We are now living in a snowy world, but thank goodness someone cleared the road surface. If you look ahead in the photo you can see the outline of the spire on our cathedral. Not the spire on the right, that is a local church, but in the middle, there is a tower which is the cathedral in our local town of Solothurn, so we are not so far from civilisation.

Took this on the road to the supermarket yesterday, a real Winter Wonderland. The roads had already been cleared so we could relax in the car with no icy slippery surfaces.     1. No doubt! For me, it is a Winter Wonderland.
      As Switzerland is generally perceived as clean and well organised, I expect Winter Management is no different for its citizens.


      1. I’d love to visit!

        P.S. We got 40 cm. of snow on the weekend; school was cancelled Monday because the roads were still hazardous for the buses. (Over 90% of our students are bused to school in this area)


    1. Some are ‘Winter Babies’ others prefer more Sunnier Climes.

      I am most definitely the latter, but scenes like this hark back to a few xmases of my younger days .

      Nice to visit, but you probably wouldn’t want to live there, right?
